Kicking Off the Weekend: Thursday, July 23
Thursday starts strong with free music from The Stacy Jones Band at the Old North Yakima Historic District as part of the Downtown Summer Nights series. If you're looking for something a bit more intimate, Zac Burrell is at The Outskirts Brewing Co. for $13. For the younger crowd, Selah Library - Yakima Valley Libraries hosts a Storytime at 11 AM, and later, Happily Painted LLC has an Open Studio Night Ages 12+ Paint-Practice-Create.
Friday Fun and Weekend Warm-ups
Friday, July 24, brings a variety of options. King's Row Drive In hosts their Cruise In Style — Friday Night Cruise for car enthusiasts. Over at the Union Gap Library, you can find ASL Classes for free. For those looking to get creative, What I Crave Restaurant has a Whispers Through the Pines Paint and Sip Ages 14+. Music-wise, Ava Lin plays at Public House of Yakima - East, and Deltaphonic is at Gilbert Cellars for their Music in the Vines series. The Outskirts Brewing Co. has Karaoke Night With DJ Big Ern if you’re feeling like singing. For bigger names, Travis Tritt is playing at Legends Casino Hotel.
Saturday: Art, Music, and a Luau
Saturday, July 25, is packed. Art lovers can head to the Larson Gallery for the Outside In: Street Artists of Central WA Exhibit Opening Reception at 3 PM. Later, Creative Yakima hosts a 420 POTtery Night at the Studio! for the 21+ crowd. Music options include Englewood Heights at the Yakima Training Center ($10) and Crone playing for free at Single Hill Brewing. The Head and The Heart are at the Capitol Theatre. For something a bit different, check out the Annual Sports Center Luau which is free, or the Honky Tonk Hoedown at Bale Breaker Brewing Company.
Sunday and Early Next Week
Sunday, July 26, starts with the Downtown Yakima Farmers Market at Rotary Playground at Kiwanis Park. For music, the Yakima Valley Big Band performs at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and Shallow Sky plays at Bearded Monkey Music ($14).
Looking ahead to Monday, July 27, the Franklin Park Sunset Concert Series kicks off at Franklin Park for free, and The SoapGirls are at Bearded Monkey Music for $8. Tuesday, July 28, has Baby Lapsit at Selah Library - Yakima Valley Libraries and a practical Pants Rehab: Hemming, Patching and Repair Basics workshop at Yakima Maker Space.
Mid-Week and Looking Ahead
Wednesday, July 29, offers Gallery Yoga and Sound Bath at Larson Gallery and Toddler Time! at Selah Library - Yakima Valley Libraries. The Valley Mall Summer Kids Club also continues. Thursday, July 30, The Sh80's w/Benni James are at The Outskirts Brewing Co. ($13), and Band Of Horses plays the Capitol Theatre.
As we roll into August, Friday, July 31, features an Intermediate/Advanced Group Painting Class - Galactic Seascape at Happily Painted LLC and another Karaoke Night With DJ Big Ern at The Outskirts Brewing Co. The Larson Gallery also opens its 71st Central Washington Artists' Exhibition. Saturday, August 1, brings the Yakima Valley Big Band - Vintiques to the Yakima SunDome and a Summer 2026 Exhibition Party at BIMA Galleries. The Downtown Yakima Farmers Market is back on Sunday, August 2. The Franklin Park Sunset Concert Series continues on Monday, August 3, and a 2026 SUNNYSIDE SELF CARE FEST is happening on Tuesday, August 4. Finally, for Wednesday, August 5, there's an August Farmers Market at Bale Breaker Brewing Company and another Valley Mall Summer Kids Club.
