What this is

The city doesn't just sit there. It drifts.

Drift Velocity is the collective energy of a community in motion. We publish the music, art, theater, and social gatherings that turn strangers into neighbors — in a single, distraction-free feed, with no algorithm deciding what you should care about.

We started in mid-size cities that most tech platforms would never bother with. That was the point. The places algorithms ignore are often the ones with the most alive local scenes.

How we source events

Drift Velocity runs a set of automated agents that read publicly listed event information — venue websites, ticketing pages, public calendars, and verified social posts — and consolidate it into a single feed. We deduplicate the same event reported in multiple places, normalize venues, and attach artist information when we can confirm it from primary sources.

We do not republish events from paid feeds. We do not accept promoter submissions in exchange for placement. The feed is what we believe is happening, not what someone paid to put in front of you.

Editorial standards

• No paid placement. Venues and promoters cannot pay to appear, to rank higher, or to be featured.
• No sponsored content. Anything that looks like an event listing on Drift Velocity is an event listing. We do not run advertorial.
• Display advertising is separate. We may run display ads (Google AdSense or similar) clearly marked as ads. Ads never influence which events appear or how they are ranked.
• Corrections within a few business days. If a listing is wrong, email us from a verifiable address and we will fix or remove it.
• Past events stay published. Event pages remain online after the event date as an archive, clearly marked, so historical links keep working.

Corrections & takedowns

If an event on Drift Velocity is mislabeled, has the wrong date, time, or venue, or is duplicated, email hello@driftvelo.city with the page URL and the correction.

If you are an artist, venue, or rights holder and want a listing corrected or removed, email us from an address we can verify against the listing. We action verified requests within a few business days.
