We're heading into a busy stretch here in Wenatchee, with plenty of chances to get out and enjoy the tail end of summer. Farmers markets are in full swing, and live music is pretty much everywhere you look.
Midweek Merriment
Starting today, Wednesday, August 12th, you can find Yoga Basics With Dianne at The Wells House if you're looking for a peaceful start to your day. Later, the Cashmere Farmers Market is open at the Cashmere Community Farmers Market with local produce and artisans, and it's free to browse. In the evening, München Haus in Leavenworth hosts The Welter Brothers for some live tunes. For theater fans, Numerica Performing Arts Center presents 1776 - The Musical, while the Leavenworth Festhalle has the Leavenworth Summer Theater company performing 'Anything Goes' for $20.
Thursday, August 13th, offers a few art options. You can join a Make Your Own Glass Fusing Workshop at Boulder Bend Glassworks or take a Paint and Stroll from Front Street Park. Music picks up in the evening with Live Music @ Rocky Pond Tasting Room and Vince and Rhia @ Bushel & Bee Taproom (21+). München Haus has Kozmo, and Wildflour features Leanna Shannon. JJ Hills Restaurant & Bar in Leavenworth hosts Seth Garrido. Friday, August 14th, kicks off the weekend with the Leavenworth Village Art in the Park at Front Street Park. Live music is abundant, with Josiah Bogle at Evergreen Family Wines, free live music at Benson Vineyards Estate Winery, and Chris Ward at Goose Ridge Tasting Room. The Travelers play at Chelan Ridge Winery for $16. Later, Brian Blair performs for free on the lawn at Icicle Ridge Winery, and Brittany Jean is at Pybus Public Market. Icicle Ridge Winery: Uptown also has live music. For theater, 'Bright Star' is at Ski Hill Amphitheater for $20.
Saturday, August 15th, is a full day starting with the Lake Chelan Farmers Market and Wenatchee Valley Farmers Market, both free. For something hands-on, the Interactive Glassblowing Experience at Boulder Bend Glassworks is $300. The Leavenworth Community Farmers Market is at Lions Club Park. Music-wise, the Arrowleaf Wenatchee Music Festival is at Lincoln Park, Full Vinyl Jacket plays classic rock for free at Benson Vineyards Estate Winery, and Loose Change is at Chelan Ridge Winery for $12. The Icicle Creek Center for the Arts hosts Cascade Country Boots in the Mountains for $35, featuring Aaron Crawford, Leah Justine, and Owen Barnheart. Leavenworth Festhalle has 'Anything Goes' for $20, and the Numerica Performing Arts Center has Hot August Nights. Finally, Steeve Turner and Justice for All play for free at Stein, and 'The Sound of Music' is again at Ski Hill Amphitheater.
Sunday, August 16th, rounds out the weekend with free live music at Succession Wines and Big Sax Daddy Live at Chelan Ridge Winery.
