We're heading into a busy stretch with the last bits of summer fun and the start of some fall traditions. Walla Walla is looking particularly lively this coming weekend.
Midweek Merriment
Things kick off tonight, Wednesday, September 9th. If you're looking for some tunes, Taverna Tagaris is hosting the Harvest Market: Summer Finale with Lo Tek Blues at 5 PM, which is free. Over at The Emerald of Siam Thai Restaurant and Lounge, Julia Ramirez is hosting Jazz Jams at 6 PM, also free. For something a little different, Barnard Griffin Winery has a Tomato Tasting + Lecture with Schreiber Farms... plus wine! at 6:30 PM.
Thursday, September 10th, the REACH Museum has Little Explorers: Owls at Night, a family-friendly event.
The Weekend is Revving Up
Friday, September 11th, marks the start of the Orchard Park Festival Of The Arts at the Orchard Park Train Depot at noon, showcasing handcrafted works. Music-wise, Criminal Squirrel Orchestra plays a free show at Tranche at 5 PM. If you want a guaranteed patio seat at Tranche, that'll be $50. Over in Walla Walla, the Wheelin' Walla Walla Weekend starts its 30th anniversary celebration with a Friday Night Cruise at 6 PM downtown. For theater, The Mystery Theatre is staging Lend Me a Tenor at 7:30 PM for $15. And if you're up for a bigger show, NB Ridaz performs at the Ideal Event Center at 8 PM for $75.
Saturday, September 12th, is packed. The Wheelin' Walla Walla Weekend continues with its Saturday Show 'n Shine downtown starting at 9 AM, featuring over 500 classic cars. Peanuts Park in Pasco hosts the free Fiery Foods Festival at noon. For art, there's Art With Aubrey - Unicorn Slumber at Summer's Hub of Kennewick at 1 PM. The REACH Museum has a couple of things: John Clement: Wandering the Hanford Reach, an art exhibition for $10, and a STEAM Workshop: Dino Detectives & Fossil Fun. Music at The Emerald of Siam with Brandy Larsen at 5 PM, free. Tranche has a Bonfire Party at 5:30 PM for $15. And if you're heading out to Pendleton, Gretchen Wilson and The Band Perry play at the Pendleton Round-Up & Happy Canyon Hall of Fame Museum at 7 PM for $81. For something more theatrical, Holly Dolly: Uncorked Cabaret is at Gesa Power House Theatre at 7 PM for $25. The JuneBugs play a free concert at Heritage Square in Walla Walla at 8 PM, part of a 9-week series. There's also a Hogs N Dogs Rally happening that day.

Monday, September 14th, is Open Mic Night at The Emerald of Siam at 7 PM, free. Julia Ramirez is back hosting Jazz Jams at The Emerald of Siam on Wednesday, September 16th, at 6 PM, also free. That same evening, Gesa Power House Theatre has a free event: Art, Creativity, & Immigrant Youth at 7 PM.
Next weekend, Friday, September 18th, starts with Art on Autumn at Keewaydin Park at 10 AM, an outdoor art festival. CAVU Cellars has ArtSquared Art Drop-off Friday at 11 AM. Tranche has free Tranche Music Series at 5 PM, or you can reserve a patio seat for $50. Barnard Griffin Winery offers a Fellowship Feast, a Lord of the Rings-inspired dinner, at 6:30 PM for $85. Gina Chavez performs at Gesa Power House Theatre at 7 PM. And The Mystery Theatre is again showing Lend Me a Tenor.
Saturday, September 19th, there's the Kandiland Rave at the HAPO Center at 4 PM for $68. Kate & The Crocodiles play Tranche at 5 PM. Los Palominos are at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 8 PM. And it's Adam West Day, honoring the Walla Walla native who played Batman.
Monday, September 21st, another Open Mic Night at The Emerald of Siam at 7 PM, free. And Julia Ramirez is back with Jazz Jams at The Emerald of Siam on Wednesday, September 23rd, at 6 PM, free.
