We're heading into mid-August with a mix of outdoor markets, live music, and a couple of bigger events you might want to plan for.
Midweek Highlights
Wednesday kicks off with a few options. If you're looking for something for the kids, the REACH Museum has B²: Boredom Busters Summer Edition • American Folk Art at 1 PM. For some evening tunes, Groove Principal plays the Clover Island Inn at 5 PM, and it's FREE. Also at 5 PM, the Pasco Hub Night Market is happening at Summer's Hub of Kennewick, with vendors and live music, also FREE. Later, Japheth Solares hosts Jazz Jams at The Emerald of Siam Thai Restaurant and Lounge at 6 PM.
Thursday brings more variety. The REACH Museum has Little Explorers: Light and Color for the younger crowd at 10:15 AM. For food assistance, a Mobile Market - Kennewick offers free food distribution by Second Harvest Tri-Cities at 11 AM. In the evening, the Kennewick Hub Night Market is at Summer's Hub of Kennewick at 5 PM. Live music is on offer with The Night Hawks at Upchurch Vineyard at 5 PM. If you're into folk music, the Richland Public Library hosts Celtic, Folk & World Music Concert with Four Shillings Short at 5:30 PM. For something a bit grander, the Fort Walla Walla Museum has Godspell Gala at the Fort: An evening of History, Hospitality, & Wine at 6 PM. And if you're looking for a show, Guys & Dolls is playing at the HAPO Community Stage.
Weekend Plans
Friday starts with a Fair Food & Wine Pairing at Barnard Griffin Winery at noon. In the evening, you can find FREE music at Heritage Square with FREE Music on the Square at 6 PM. National Park Radio performs at Tranche also at 6 PM. For theater, Walla Walla Summer Theater presents Godspell at the Wine Country Amphitheater at 8 PM for $25.
Saturday is a busy one. The Pasco Farmers Market opens at 8 AM at Peanuts Park, offering local goods for FREE. For something creative, Friday Paint-In! is at the Richland Community Center at 10 AM, inviting artists of all levels to work together for FREE. Music-wise, SideHustle plays Heritage Square at 5 PM, FREE. For bigger concerts, Pequeños Musical, Los Rieleros Del Norte & More are at the HAPO Center at 7 PM ($65), and Bronco performs at the Toyota Center at 8 PM. Also, the Tri-Cities Powerhouse Comic Con is happening at the HAPO Center all day, featuring artists and entertainers.
Looking Ahead
Next week, the HAPO Center hosts a Back To School Bash on Monday and the Connecting Hearts Showcase August on Tuesday. Midweek, the Pasco Hub Night Market returns on Wednesday the 19th at 5 PM, FREE, and Snacks at Midnight and Dr. Rock & The Sturgeons play the Clover Island Inn at 6 PM, FREE. For theater fans, a National Theatre Live screening of Les Liaisons Dangereuses is at Gesa Power House Theatre at 7 PM for $10. Thursday the 20th brings the Kennewick Hub Night Market at Summer's Hub of Kennewick at 5 PM, FREE. Music from Knutzen Brothers is at Southridge Dugout Bar & Grill at 7 PM. Shakespeare Under the Stars presents Twelfth Night at both Echolands Winery - Estate Vineyard and Gesa Power House Theatre at 7 PM. Guys & Dolls is also still running at the HAPO Community Stage.
Later in the week, Friday the 21st offers a Sopranos & Sangiovese Dinner at Barnard Griffin Winery at 6:30 PM for $115. The Pasco Farmers Market is back on Saturday the 22nd at Peanuts Park at 8 AM, FREE. The REACH Museum has a STEAM Workshop: Solar Science at 10 AM. You can find art instruction with Z Time – Ages 9+ at Summer's Hub of Kennewick at 4 PM. For free music, the Leadbetter Band plays Heritage Square at 5 PM, and Luke Basile performs at Barnard Griffin Winery - RICHLAND at 6 PM. Los Amigos Groove plays Tranche at 6 PM, and Well Adjusted/ The Jerks/Milk or Murder/Heel Klick are at Ray's Golden Lion Restaurant at 7:30 PM.
Looking further out, Art With Aubrey - Touchdown Gnome is on Tuesday the 25th at Summer's Hub of Kennewick at 6:30 PM. Brantley Gilbert performs at the Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo at 7:45 PM. And the REACH Museum has Sensory Friendly Hours on Wednesday the 26th at 2:30 PM.
