Starting the Week
Today, Tuesday the 7th, you can catch the OMSI Science Festival at the Mid-Columbia Libraries - Pasco Branch if you're looking for something educational. For music, Tuesday Tunes w/ Kate Freya-Nielson is at Mercer Wine Estates Tasting Room, or Frank n' Debi Eng are playing at The Emerald of Siam Thai Restaurant and Lounge. If you're feeling theatrical, Vibe Music and Performing Arts Center is holding Auditions for Footloose: The Musical.
Wednesday the 8th brings the Downtown Makers Market to Orchard Park in the afternoon. In the evening, the Clover Island Concert Series at Clover Island Inn features The Shades, and it's free. Also free are Jazz Jams at Orchard Park.
Thursday the 9th has a few options. Family Day at Numerica Pavilion is free, or you can check out the Kennewick Hub Night Market at Summer's Hub of Kennewick. For those who enjoy a sip, Sip & Stroll starts at Heritage Square for $20. Music-wise, VooDoo Alley is at John Dam Plaza, Zac Grooms plays Goose Ridge Estate Vineyard and Winery, and Albany Opal is at Wheat Head Brewing Co.
Weekend Warm-Up
Friday the 10th kicks off with the Live@5 Free Concert Series at John Dam Plaza, which is always a good time and free. The Allied Arts Association Annual Juried Show is holding its Reception and Awards Ceremony at Gallery at the Park. Music continues with Carl Tosten at Tranche and Michael Parker at The Peacock.
The Weekend
Saturday the 11th is looking to be a busy one for art lovers. The Chalk Art Festival - Downtown Kennewick takes over Avenue Square and it's free. You can also find the Richland Uptown Art Walk at Uptown Shopping Center, also free. For music, Coyote Kings w/ Tiph are playing at Heritage Square for free, and The Diego Romero Band will be at Tranche.
Looking Ahead
Next week, on Monday the 13th, there's a Wearable Art Studio workshop at The Ruby Gallery & Events for $125. Tuesday the 14th starts the Beyond Cosmos (Main Gallery Exhibit) at The Confluence. Wednesday the 15th sees the Downtown Makers Market back at Orchard Park, and another free Clover Island Concert Series with Englewood Heights. Thursday the 16th brings more music, including Contraband at John Dam Plaza as part of the free Live @ 5 Presented by Yakima Federal Savings & Loan series. Friday the 17th has a wide range of music options, from Ryan Stevenson in Concert at Pasco Christian Church for $10, to Nashville in the Northwest at Tranche, and a Farm to Fork Dinner at Barnard Griffin Winery.
