It’s a packed mid-summer week for Seattle and Tacoma, with a major art fair kicking off, plenty of free outdoor music, and even a K-Pop stadium show.
Art All Around
Starting Wednesday, the Frye Art Museum offers "Expressive Ink: Landscape to Abstraction" at 10 AM, a workshop for those looking to explore ink techniques. On Thursday, the Frye Art Museum has a free Drop-in Studio at 5 PM. Also on Thursday, the Mary Boze Gallery Art Show: June-July 2026 at Tahoma Unitarian Universalist Congregation hosts a gallery reception for Bridget Ralston's watercolor and ink art at 6:30 PM. This show continues through Monday.
But the big art news this week is the Seattle Art Fair, which runs from Thursday through the weekend. The Tacoma Art Museum (TAM) will have a presence there, too. On Friday at 1 PM, you can catch a "Frye in Focus | Gallery Conversation" at the Frye Art Museum.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the Henry Art Gallery has "Joiri Minaya: To Hell With Hibiscus" on Saturday, and you can also find "Mapping the Invisible" by Perri Lynch Howard. On Sunday, "In Nature, South Sound Chapter of Women Painters of Washington" is at Lakewold Gardens.
Midweek Music & Dance
Wednesday is pretty busy for music. You can catch Bob Mould or Snooper live at KEXP for free. For some outdoor tunes, the Old Town Summer Concert Series at Old Town Park features Champagne Sunday and Kim Archer at 6:30 PM, also free. Over at Magnuson Park Amphitheater, MANISHA plays a free Pop-Up Concerts in the Park at 6:30 PM. For ticketed shows, Bia Ferreira is at The Triple Door at 7:30 PM for $25, and Jessica Willis Fisher is at The Rabbit Box at 7:30 PM, also $25. Later in the evening, Futurebirds - Far Out Country Tour takes over Tractor Tavern at 8 PM, Gracie and Rachel are at Fremont Abbey Arts Center at 8 PM, and Riki Rachtman - One Foot In The Gutter is at El Corazón at 8 PM.
Thursday has more music, starting with Sera Cahoone LIVE on KEXP at 11 AM, which is free. In Tacoma, the Curran Apple Orchard Summer Concert Series at Curran Apple Orchard Park features the James Lee Murray Band at 6:30 PM, another free event. Evening shows include Black Milk at Nectar Lounge at 7 PM, Dear Eleanor at Black Lodge at 7 PM, and Molly Watts at The Vera Project at 7 PM. Abbie Gardner is at The Rabbit Box at 7:30 PM for $20, and Amani Burnham is at The Triple Door at 7:30 PM for $25. Later, Freakquencies are at Neumos at 8 PM, and THE GOLDEN ROAD performing Grateful Dead's "Europe '72" is at Hidden Hall at 8 PM. Billy Allen + The Pollies play Tractor Tavern, and Kirk Whalum is at Dimitriou's Jazz Alley.
If you’re in the mood to move, Dancing til Dusk 2026 offers a free evening of dance with a lesson in the first hour at Hing Hay Park on Thursday at 6 PM. This series continues on Tuesday the 28th at Freeway Park.
Weekend Wonders
Friday night brings SOUR TIMES - a tribute to Portishead to Nectar Lounge at 6:30 PM, and Emperor X to Black Lodge at 7 PM. Carl Verheyen Band is at The Triple Door at 7:30 PM for $30. For something a little different, Candlelight: Tribute to Thom Yorke is at the National Nordic Museum for $64. Cockaphonix is at Jazzbones at 8 PM, and SHAFTY - Portland's Tribute To Phish is at Hidden Hall at 8 PM. Chewing Gum and others play El Corazón. The Seattle Chamber Music Society presents their Summer Festival Concert #8 at Town Hall Seattle.
Saturday and Sunday are all about MOSAIC, formerly Ethnic Fest, at Wright Park in Tacoma. This free festival celebrates Tacoma's arts and culture with live performances on two stages. On Saturday, FULTON LEE: Sing With Me Tour 2026 is at The Crocodile at 6 PM, Khu.éex' is at Hidden Hall at 5:30 PM, and Tanael Joachim is at The Triple Door at 7:30 PM for $25. Later, Chinese American Bear is at Neumos at 8 PM, Matte Blvck is at El Corazón at 8 PM, and "I WANT IT THAT WAY: 90s/2000s Dance Party" is at Hidden Hall at 9 PM.
Sunday at 2 PM, the Seattle Chamber Music Society's Summer Festival Concert #9 is at Town Hall Seattle. In the evening, Cyanate, Defier, Vanished, Psyclops are at Real Art Tacoma at 6:30 PM for $10. The big show on Sunday is the ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR 'BLOOD SAGA' IN TACOMA at the Tacoma Dome at 7:30 PM.

Monday, Russian Blue LIVE on KEXP is free at 3 PM. Savage Hands and Of Virtue play El Corazón at 7 PM. The Seattle Center Sculpture Walk 2026 begins at Seattle Center at 7 PM, a free event. Daniel Donato plays Airport Tavern Music Hall.
Tuesday brings Summer Sounds at Skansie Brothers Park in Gig Harbor, a free concert at 6 PM. Artificial Heat, Junelillies, June Swoon, Honey Bee Breakfast are at Real Art Tacoma at 7 PM for $10. Of Montreal is at Neumos at 7 PM, and Rome Streetz is at Hidden Hall at 7 PM.
