Dancing, Drama, and So Much Live Music

It's a busy stretch in the Seattle-Tacoma area, with plenty of free events mixed in with some ticketed shows. From outdoor dancing to live music across genres, there’s a lot to choose from.

Tuesday through Thursday: Get Moving and Tune In

Starting things off on Tuesday, you can catch Heavy Bloom live at KEXP in the afternoon, which is free and open to the public. Later, Dancing til Dusk 2026 offers an evening of dancing with a lesson at Westlake Park, also free. If you're looking for something musical, REFLECT - Deep House & Melodic Techno is at Hidden Hall or classical fans can head to Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall for Summer Festival 2026 - Week 1: Rachmaninoff, Mendelssohn. For a different vibe, White Denim plays at Tractor Tavern.

Wednesday brings more music, including Lady A – The Real Lady A at Jimi Hendrix Park for free, and the Old Town Summer Concert Series at Old Town Park, featuring local talent like Champagne Sunday and Kim Archer. For something a bit more unique, HIDDEN HONKY TONK is happening at Nectar Lounge. You can also catch The Family Crest at Tractor Tavern.

Thursday has several free art and social events. The Community Resource Fair is at Verlo Playfield in the morning, and the Drop-in Studio at Frye Art Museum is free in the afternoon. In the evening, Summer at SAM (Art Making, Guided Tours) at Olympic Sculpture Park and Dancing til Dusk 2026 at Hing Hay Park both offer free activities. For music, JINJER – Duel North America 2026 is at Temple Theater Box Office with Crystal Lake and Entheos. The Downtown Summer Sounds at Westlake Park also brings free music.

The Weekend: Festivals and Diverse Sounds

Friday kicks off the weekend with West Seattle Summer Fest at Junction, which is free, and the Ballard Music & Seafoodfest in Ballard, also free. Music options are plentiful: Souls of Mischief at The Crocodile, The Head and the Heart at Remlinger Farms, and Forrest Frank at Tacoma Dome for The Jesus Generation Tour Live in Tacoma. For a theatrical experience, Dance This is at Moore Theatre.

Saturday is packed with festivals. The Polish Festival Seattle is at Seattle Center and is free, as is Tacoma Community Day. For art, check out the free Art Walks - Belltown and Art Walks - Georgetown. Music includes Art Gecko at Neumos and El Gran Silencio at Nectar Lounge. For a unique show, Marxiano Productions presents Seattle Vice at The Triple Door.

Sunday wraps up the weekend with Here Come The Mummies (21+) at The Crocodile for a ticketed show. You can also explore the free Art Walks - Ballard.
