This week on the Olympic Peninsula, you’ve got a good mix of arts, music, and chances to get out and about, with a few recurring local favorites making a strong showing.
Midweek Offerings
Starting today, Wednesday, July 29th, you can join the Railroad Bridge Park Bird Walk at the Dungeness River Nature Center in Sequim, which happens every Wednesday morning. For something a bit different, Forks Chamber Of Commerce offers Forks Logging & Mill Tours starting at 8:45 AM, and these are free. Later in the day, the Port Angeles City Pier & Hollywood Beach hosts Concerts on the Pier, another free event. If you're in Forks on Thursday, you can catch the Forks Logging & Mill Tours again in the morning. And in Port Angeles, Pope Marine Park hosts Concerts on the Dock in the evening, with local bands. Or, if you're up for a drive to Suquamish, Performances at the Passage at Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort features tribute bands.
The Weekend Ahead
Friday, July 31st, brings more opportunities to explore. The Port Townsend Farmers Market is in Downtown Port Townsend, and the Forks Open Aire Market is at the Thriftyway Grocery Store Parking Lot, showcasing local crafts and produce. In the evening, the Port Angeles City Pier & Hollywood Beach has a bonus Concerts on the Pier show featuring Sound Advice. For something theatrical, Port Angeles High School Theatre has a performance of Titanic.
Saturday, August 1st, is packed. Start your day at the Sequim Farmers & Artisans Market at the Sequim Civic Center or the Port Angeles Farmers Market at Gateway Tavern. Port Angeles is also hosting Arts in Action 2026, a free community festival with art and music along Laurel Street and the Port Angeles Waterfront District. The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center has a free Bonsai Pop-Up: An Exhibit In The Courtyard. For music, there's a Traditional Blues Gospel Choir Performance at the USO Hall, Fort Worden State Park, and Dumpster Joe & Kit Stovepipe Live @ Taps! at Taps at the Guardhouse. In the evening, explore the First Saturday Art Walk in Harbor Art Gallery and downtown Port Townsend. For a ticketed show, Point of Sail - A Tribute to Yacht Rock is at Aurora Borealis. Out in Joyce, the Joyce Daze Wild Blackberry Festival offers a full day of activities at the Joyce General Store, and cyclists can participate in Tour de Lavender starting from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula.
On Sunday, August 2nd, the Chimacum Farmers Market is behind the Chimacum Corner Farmstand. The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center has its "Kinship: A Collaboration With Nature" exhibit open. For free music, check out Free Jazz Sunday with The Hot Club of PT at Field Arts & Events Hall, or Abracadabra Trip Live @ Taps! at Taps at the Guardhouse. Cyclists have another option with Ride the Hurricane Road Cycling starting in Port Angeles.
Looking Ahead
Next week, the mid-week rhythm continues with Concerts on the Pier in Port Angeles on Wednesday, August 5th, and Concerts on the Dock in Pope Marine Park on Thursday, August 6th. The Dungeness River Nature Center will again host its Railroad Bridge Park Bird Walk on Wednesday morning. The Forks Logging & Mill Tours are also back on Wednesday. The Jefferson County Historical Society is holding its Annual Summer Picnic at "Rose Hill" on Wednesday afternoon. For music, Sway Wild plays the Quilcene Lantern on Thursday, August 6th, and Performances at the Passage at Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort has another evening of tribute bands. Port Angeles High School Theatre has another showing of Titanic on Thursday evening. As the next weekend approaches, Friday, August 7th, brings the Port Townsend Farmers Market and the First Friday Art Walk Sequim where artists are paired with local businesses. Shoestring Circus performs under the big top at Point Hudson Marina and RV Park. Dead Bars play the Quilcene Lantern, and Key City Public Theatre offers its 2026 Youth Performance Intensive: 'As You Like It'. The Jefferson County Fair also kicks off at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
