It's a busy time on the Olympic Peninsula, with plenty of music, markets, and unique local events to fill your days. The next two weeks offer a good mix of free outdoor fun and ticketed performances.
Jazz, Blues, and Waterfront Tunes
Music lovers have a few good options this week. Thursday, July 23rd, brings The Backwoods Hucksters to Pope Marine Park for Concerts on the Dock, offering free Appalachian country blues and bluegrass. They're also listed at Waterfront Place that day. If you're up for a drive and a ticket, Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort hosts Performances at the Passage with tribute bands. Friday, July 24th, kicks off the Jazz Port Townsend Workshop & Festival with a mainstage concert at Fort Worden Historical State Park. The Port Townsend Summer Band also performs for free at 7 Cedars as part of the Association of Concert Bands Regional Connection. Saturday, July 25th, continues the jazz festival with a Jazz Port Townsend Saturday Afternoon Mainstage Concert at Fort Worden Historical State Park, and later, Sound Advice plays Motown and soul at Taps at the Guardhouse.
Looking ahead, Tuesday, July 28th, has free outdoor music with Bread & Gravy at Carrie Blake Park (also listed at James Center Bandshell), and Summer Nights at the Bay at Liberty Bay Waterfront Park. Wednesday, July 29th, you can catch Concerts on the Pier in Port Angeles. The following Thursday, July 30th, Concerts on the Dock returns to Pope Marine Park with local bands, and Performances at the Passage is back at Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort. Friday, July 31st, has a bonus Concerts on the Pier with Sound Advice Band.
Markets and Community Gatherings
Markets are in full swing. Friday, July 24th, you'll find the Port Townsend Farmers Market in downtown Port Townsend and the Forks Open Aire Market at the Thriftyway Grocery Store Parking Lot. The Quileute Healing Circle gathers for potluck, drumming, and dancing at the Akalat Center that evening. Saturday, July 25th, brings the Sequim Farmers & Artisans Market to Sequim Civic Center, the Port Angeles Farmers Market at Gateway Tavern, and the Belfair Saturday Market at Belfair Elementary School. Sunday, July 26th, the Chimacum Farmers Market is behind the Chimacum Corner Farmstand.
Into next week, the markets continue. Friday, July 31st, has the Port Townsend Farmers Market and Forks Open Aire Market again, along with the Quileute Healing Circle. Saturday, August 1st, look for the Sequim Farmers & Artisans Market at Sequim Civic Center and the Port Angeles Farmers Market at the Gateway Transit Center.
Unique Peninsula Experiences
If you're curious about the local industry, the Logging & Mill Tour from the Forks Chamber Of Commerce offers a free, firsthand look on Friday, July 24th, and again on Friday, July 31st. There's also Forks Logging & Mill Tours on Wednesday, July 29th.
For something a bit different, Friday, July 24th, has Dine on the Dungeness: An Enchanted Woodland Gala at Railroad Bridge Park. Olympic Theatre Arts presents Lavender Melodrama 2026 on Friday, July 24th, and again on Sunday, July 26th. Sunday, July 26th, the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center opens its “Kinship: A Collaboration With Nature” exhibit, and Flagship Landing has the Salish Explorations Watercolor Exhibit.
For the artistic, a four-session course on Acrylic Still Life begins Monday, July 27th, at Northwind Art School. Also on Monday, Centrum's Acoustic Blues Festival kicks off, and there's a Summer Theatre Camp in Quilcene. Wednesday, July 29th, you can join a Railroad Bridge Park Bird Walk from the Dungeness River Nature Center. Thursday, July 30th, the Quilcene Lantern hosts The Summer Revival, a gathering with workshops, rituals, and music.
Looking to August, Saturday the 1st has Plein Air Woodcut Printmaking at Northwind Art School, Arts in Action 2026 (also listed as Arts in Action – Port Angeles at Laurel Street and Arts In Action in the Port Angeles Waterfront District) which is a free community festival. The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center will have a Bonsai Pop-Up: An Exhibit In The Courtyard, and the Sequim Museum & Arts has the Found and Formed Art Exhibition. The first Saturday of August also brings the First Saturday Art Walk and the Port Townsend Art Walk, both free opportunities to explore local galleries.
