This week on the Olympic Peninsula, we've got a little bit of everything, from multi-day community festivals to art shows and a good number of free outdoor concerts. The weekend looks especially full, with the Clallam Bay / Sekiu Fundays kicking off and farmers markets in full swing.
Midweek Sounds and Strolls
Starting out this Tuesday, July 7th, you'll find free outdoor music in a couple of spots. Salty All Day plays at the James Center Bandshell in Port Angeles, and the Liberty Bay Waterfront Park hosts Summer Nights at the Bay with local and regional performers. Both start at 6 PM.
Wednesday, July 8th, if you're an early bird, the Dungeness River Nature Center offers its free Railroad Bridge Park Bird Walk at 8:30 AM. Later in the day, the Silverwater Cafe in Port Townsend has Trevor Hanson on 7-string guitar at 5:30 PM, and The Foot Stompers bring their sound to the Port Angeles City Pier & Hollywood Beach at 6 PM as part of the Concerts on the Pier series. Over in Poulsbo, the T-Town Aces play at Armory Square.
Thursday, July 9th, the Forks Logging & Mill Tours are on again at 8:45 AM from the Forks Chamber Of Commerce. For music, Bishop Block Bottle Shop & Garden has Bossa Nova Jazz at 5 PM, and Pope Marine Park in Port Townsend hosts Concerts on the Dock with Nyby & Marco Marco at 5 PM.
Weekend Festivals and Markets
The weekend kicks off in earnest on Friday, July 10th. The Clallam Bay / Sekiu Fundays begin, offering a street fair at the School District No 121 Bus Grg and Clallam Bay School, an art show at the Sekiu Community Center, and a street dance at the North Olympic Library System (or Clallam Bay Branch Library) in the evening. There's also a Short Cake Social to get things rolling. For theater buffs, Olympic Theatre Arts presents Lavender Melodrama 2026 at 7 PM, and Key City Public Theatre has their Teen Initiative's 'The Mad Tea Party' at 7:30 PM.
Saturday, July 11th, the Clallam Bay / Sekiu Fundays continue with an art show and street fair, plus live music starting at 12:30 PM at the Clallam Bay School (or "Top of the school hill"). Farmers markets are plentiful: the Sequim Farmers & Artisans Market at the Sequim Civic Center (9 AM), the Port Angeles Farmers Market at Gateway Pavilion (9:30 AM), and the Belfair Saturday Market at Belfair Elementary School (10 AM). The Port Townsend Handmade Market is also happening at 10 AM. In the evening, the Field Arts & Events Hall hosts The Chuchito Valdés Trio at 5:30 PM.
Sunday, July 12th, the Art Show at the Sekiu Community Center continues, and the Chimacum Farmers Market is open at the Chimacum Corner Farmstand. Finnriver Farm & Cidery hosts an Interdependence Day Makers Market at noon, with live music and activities. For music, Sol Azul plays at Taps at the Guardhouse.
Looking Ahead
As we move into next week, Monday, July 13th, has a Cribbage Tournament at Toast & Jam Pub at 3 PM as part of the Clallam Bay / Sekiu Fundays. Tuesday, July 14th, brings more free outdoor music with Mars Garden at the James Center Bandshell and Summer Nights at the Bay at Liberty Bay Waterfront Park, both starting at 6 PM. Wednesday, July 15th, you can join another Railroad Bridge Park Bird Walk or take a Forks Logging & Mill Tour.
