It's a busy one this week, with plenty to keep you occupied, from big-name concerts to local art and community gatherings. The weekend is especially packed, so take a look and see what catches your eye.
Thursday Kicks Things Off
Today, Thursday, July 23rd, you can learn about Caring For Family Photographs at 6 PM. Later, Chris Ward plays Riverside Pub at 7 PM. If you're up for a short drive, the Quincy Community Theatre's Summer Musical (Footloose) is happening at Quincy High School.
A Packed Weekend Ahead
Friday, July 24th, offers a lot of choices. The Art in the Park Festival 2026 kicks off at 8 AM at Howard Amon Park, featuring local artists and live performances throughout the day. For music lovers, the Summer Music Series has local musicians performing at 1:30 PM at the Lake House at Cave B Winery, and it's free. Come evening, there's Blues In The District with Matt Roberts Band at 5:30 PM. For more blues, Friday Night Live Blues Music is a free weekly event at Hillside Spirits Co. Salt Hill at 8 PM. If you're a fan of The Eagles, Victims of Love: A Tribute to the Eagles plays as part of the Summer Concert Series at McCosh Park at 8 PM, also free. The same tribute act, Victims of Love, is also playing at the Centennial Amphitheater at 8 PM, another free show. And for a big one, Chris Stapleton's All-American Road Show, with Grace Potter, is at The Gorge Amphitheatre.
Saturday, July 25th, brings a bit of holiday cheer with Christmas in July at the Market at McCosh Park, starting at 8 AM. It's a free community event, so head down to the market and see what's happening.
Sunday, July 26th, you can catch Beau Warren performing at 7 PM.
Midweek Activities
Monday, July 27th, the Mid-Columbia Libraries - Othello Branch is hosting a free LEGO Club for elementary enthusiasts at 5 PM. On Tuesday, July 28th, the Quincy Public Library has a free Crafternoon for Kids at 2:30 PM. Also on Tuesday, the Museum at Mobile Recreation is doing Button Art at Carpenter Park.
Looking Ahead to Next Week
Thursday, July 30th, has a few interesting historical notes: Victory Village And the War Effort at 6 PM, and a presentation on the Protest! 1970s Power Line Controversy at the Grant County Historical Museum at 7 PM. For music, the 2026 Summer Concerts in the Park series continues with the Ellensburg Big Band performing swing jazz at North Alder Street Park at 6:30 PM, which is free. The weekly Friday Night Live Blues Music is back at Hillside Spirits Co. Salt Hill at 8 PM on July 31st.
Saturday, August 1st, is another busy day. The 2026 Rue & Sage Fall Market is a free event at Rue & Sage Flowers starting at 8 AM. The GCBA SUMMER RIVER BASH-Boat parade, poker run and music fest kicks off at 10 AM at Crescent Bar. For art, the Moses Lake Museum & Art Center has August Free Family Saturday: Sunburst Watercolor at 12 PM. You can also try your hand at Watercolor Color Harmony Mandala at the Museum and Art Center Classroom #126 at 2:30 PM. And for a full day of fun, First Saturday – Summer 2026 – August in Downtown Ephrata offers free afternoon activities followed by evening celebrations with live music, craft vendors, and food vendors.
As we move into next week, Tuesday, August 4th, the Quincy Public Library has another free Crafternoon for Kids at 2:30 PM. On Thursday, August 6th, you can catch Too Slim & The Taildraggers for $13. Also on Thursday, the Museum at Mobile Recreation will be doing Chalk Pastels at Peninsula Elementary School.
