The Senders were a rock & roll revivalist band formed in New York City in 1976, known for their raw, greasy, and fabulous sound, incorporating dangerous sidewinder R&B with a twist of rockabilly. They were peers with other early New York punk legends like the Ramones, Blondie, and the Heartbreakers.
